What's in your bucket list?

I believed in bucket list. Even though I didn't have one written somewhere, it was always on my mind.
My love for life and the spirit to experience new adventures resulted in a long list of things that I wanted to do before getting the final call.
Then one day as I was reciting the latest thing on my list, my partner pointed out a flaw. He could't help  but notice that while I was checking things off of it, I was also adding to it. My experiences were changing and so were my desires.
A realization dawned on me. I could never complete my bucket list. There would always be something more that I want to do. If I die tomorrow, it wouldn't matter if I had zero things on it or a million.


I live this moment and every other too,
I do what I want and I want what I do,
I strive to be a person who's better than the one a few mins ago.

Oh those mundane tasks!

Today morning I changed my son's diaper for one more time like I have done several times in the last two years. What made this time noteworthy is the fact that he said,"Thank you Mommy" when I was done. This warmed my heart and made my morning. It also made me wonder about many of the mundane tasks that everyone does and never get noticed for. We always compliment a kid when we see one who's well dressed. Who we forget is a parent who may be juggling between job and home and making sure the kid has clean laundry. When I dropped my son to the daycare today, instead of walking past the kitchen like I always do, I stopped in front. I said to the cook "Thank you for making such nutritious and wonderful food." Her eyes were lit with her smile and she said " Thank you! I love doing it". And I could see that she meant it. I don't know if it made any difference to her day but saying 'Thank you' made me even more happier than I was receiving it.
