2013 in color!!

We usually mark the years that have milestones as important. The year of starting college, starting a job, getting married, having kids etc. 2013 didn't have any major milestones for me, however it might be the most important year in my life. This year I discovered myself - had a face to face with my strengths and weaknesses. It was an year of growing pains and it would shape my future.
Here are some of the things that made it the beginnings of new era:
1. I started exercising. All my life I didn't care or had any interest in any form of exercise. This year I discovered a passion for it and I want to continue living life with it.
2. I started writing again. For many years, I had lost my expressions. This year I actually jotted down some thoughts and on a single place.
3. I gained clarity on how I want to contribute to this world. I always had a vision of where I want to be, what kind of work I want to do. This year I could see the route to reach there and I am excited to walk the path.
4. I started the journey to minimalism. I never was a hoarder of stuff, however this year I was able to reduce my possessions to almost everything that I really need. I still have ways to go and I am looking forward to continuing this journey next year.
5. Last but not the least, I have learnt  to be comfortable with myself - my fears, my emotions, my desires without any judgement. People that cross path with my life have their own things to deal with and may not be even remotely concerned on the impact it has on my life. I am learning to be compassionate to others for their choices and to myself for mine.

I aspire to be on the path of more meaningful additions to my life next year and to get rid of things that don't add value.

2014, I welcome you!
